Requirement for award of Certificate in Couple Counselling (CCC-2 (M))

1. 132 hours comprising: a) Small Group Supervision ( 6 x 10 )    60 hrs

                                         b)  Intensive Teaching (7 x 15)            105 hrs

                                                                                          Total   165 hrs

2. To graduate, students must clock no less than 80 % attendance of the total 105 hrs of 

    intensive classroom teaching (ie. 84 hrs) and not less than 75% attendance of the total  

    54 hrs of small group supervision (ie. 40.5 hrs).

3. Must clock a minimum 20 client contact hour with 3 different couples.

4. Submit a write-up on a couple that you have provided counselling (5-8 pages) at

    the end of the course.

5. Structure of Small Group Supervision

a)  The small group supervision will be six participants or smaller in size.

b)  Emphasis at supervision will be on the understanding & application of couple

     counselling skills. Participants will present & discuss their couple cases where

     they receive feedback from the supervisor and their peers. 

c)  Small Group Supervision will take the form of a combination of discussion,

      live demonstration sessions with students or clients, viewing of video tapes

      of couple sessions, case presentation, practice sessions.
